This isn’t your typical volunteer fair! Meet your co-hosts: 

Pledges for Change is an Ontario based youth-led group transforming the way young people engage in social impact. They founded the Ignite Fair in 2014, and have since engaged 6,200 students. Volunteer Toronto is Canada's largest volunteer centre connecting volunteers and the organizations that need them. They have hosted an annual Youth Expo engaging over 45,000 youth since 2015.

This joint initiative will provide a dynamic virtual space to assist young people on their journey to meaningful volunteering and open new doors to explore community engagement and the non-profit sector.

This year, Ignite Fair will bring together high school students and non-profit organizations across Ontario in a dynamic virtual space. Organizations will be able to connect with youth in their region and across the province who are interested in in-person and virtual volunteering roles.

Ignite Fair Ontario will assist young people on their journey, whatever that may be. Whether is is completing their 40 hour volunteer requirement, dedicating their time and efforts, or finding their future career route, Ignite Fair Ontario is the place to start.

Non-profit organizations will have the opportunity to connect with potential youth volunteers across the province. Exhibitors must be actively recruiting high school students to volunteer (under 18 years old).

The Ignite Fair Powered by Volunteer Toronto is an initiative developed in a partnership between Pledges for Change, a youth-led group, and Volunteer Toronto, Canada's largest volunteer centre. 

Pledges for Change works with governments, companies, and social sector organizations to design and develop meaningful ways for youth to give back in support of the causes they care most about. A new partnership between Volunteer Toronto and Pledges for Change in 2020 has led to the development of a youth engagement playbook.

Emerging from this collaborative effort is the opportunity to plan and execute the annual Ignite Fair. Moving from in-person to virtual, the Ignite Fair aims to assist young people to learn more about the volunteerism sector, as well as open doors to new avenues in the non-profit sector.
